L2 UNIT 3: DESIGN YOUR OWN SIM

Congratulations on completing Units 1 and 2! In the last unit you learned that AgentCubes can be used for more than just making games by creating contagion and forest fire simulations. Now it's your turn to create your very own sim! Scientists and engineers use computer models (simulations) all the time! For example, before blasting a rocket into space NASA runs a LOT of simulations. Maybe you want to simulate the effects of a hurricane on a coastal city. Or what happens in an earthquake. Or what happens if you don't take out the trash. (Hint...it piles up and stinks). To get started, first click the green buttons below and read the Design Your Own Sim Notes parts I and II. Then, have the All About Design Your Own Sim .pdf document available. Just click the blue button below to open the document. Lastly, make your agents, setup your world, and program! Your goal is to make a working sim that accurately depicts what would happen in the real world. Test your programming to make sure it is free of bugs and glitches. The results of your sim might surprise you! Happy game (sim) making!
